It can be used to tote around school/business things or to go hiking in the woods. There are so many pockets and areas in this backpack that you can't help but know where to find something. The sunglasses pocket on the top and the water bottle pockets on either side might be my favorites. This backpack is also extremely comfortable with well-padded shoulder straps and a waist belt if you need to secure the pack firmly to your back for balance. Also, don't forget the amazing Jansport lifetime guarantee - I've used it before and its great. If it gets a tear, if the zipper breaks, if it becomes discolored, whatever - Jansport will replace the backpack. Rating: 5 / 5 This backpack is perfect. Now I don't expect to not feel that there is something round in the bag if I have a basketball in there, but I do expect the stiffness of the back to withstand a pair of tennis shoes for example. <br /> <br />2- The zippers are not very good quality. This was the first thing noticed, and will be returning it. Also snap buckles(3) is excessive with the short straps. There should be a way to tuck them in when not in use.
